Blog 3 - Religion

Hi dear reader.

Today, I will write of the importance of religion for me.

If I wrote in a few words how I feel about religion, I would say it´s of no importance, simple, but it was still, for a long time, part of my life. Approximately to the 12 years old, I developed and lived within an evangelical church. My whole family attended since I can remember, in fact, my grandparents were one of the founding families.

I´m constantly thankful for getting out of that environment (I know, it sounds a little weird) but it was very toxic and hid a lot of envy, evil and greed in the "celestial background". This may sound very anti-religious, but unfortunately the pain they caused in my family produced a strong rejection in me, apart from very small I never liked to attend.

You might consider that I´ve lost faith and if it´s true, but not really. I would say it has changed perspective, has become something more natural, more free, outside of oppressive religious canons. I no longer believe in that magical god, almost like a false god, I see a general deity out of the reach of our understanding, which is evident in nature and in what surrounds us, in short, what the world gives us is our god.

  2. I'm glad to hear how your perspective changed, i think faith is so personal that it shouldn't be guided to you by any kind of institution.

  8. More than comment you perspective of religion, i see the same thing respect of the church,in my case , the christian church, where the most people who came to this church, it was people envious, greedy and in general sense, bad people. This situation it made me change my perspective to the churchs in general sense.
