Blog 5 - Free Topic: My inspirations and my Mentors in the Music

Imagen
Hi dear reader, today I will talk you about my two pillars of my favourite music (my "heroes", my inspirations and my role models). For as long as I can remember, I remind them to pierce my ears with iconic, magnificent and pleasant melodies. The first one I remember is Luis Alberto Spinetta (1950-2012) since he has been heard for a long time in my family. First my dad, then my older brother, me, my mom and my sisters. Apart from the fact that I love his music, I admire him as the person he was, the good person he was always considered, the genius he was considered for music, art and writing. His way of loving music flooded me and led me to consider it as I do now, on the other hand, it led me to develop musical skills, I thought when I listened to it: "oh what a great song I want to practice on drums (at first), then on the electric bass (Present). Spinetta is my total idol, always i will always have him inside my musical heart. My other idol, who inspired me to dedicat...

Blog 4 - Education

Imagen
Hi dear reader! Today, I will tell you about the harms and benefit of the elite superior education in Chile from a critical perspective. On the one hand, the benefits of the elite education are limited to the technological capabilities they can deliver to their students. We can see all of elite universities of Chile and we can notice that, in those, the best technologies in the country are found in academic fields that deliver. Another point is its infrastructure that stands out above the majority of public or not so "prestigious and elite" universities. It is common to see that in elite universities, the field, classrooms, the casino, etc., have optimal and good quality buildings capable of meeting most of the needs of those willing to pay for an elite university. On the contrary, the list of disadvantages is more extensive than the previous one. First, if we consider that its accessibility proposes segregation for the Chilean population, we will begin by highlightin...

Blog 3 - Religion

Imagen
Hi dear reader. Today, I will write of the importance of religion for me.  If I wrote in a few words how I feel about religion, I would say it´s of no importance, simple, but it was still, for a long time, part of my life. Approximately to the 12 years old, I developed and lived within an evangelical church. My whole family attended since I can remember, in fact, my grandparents were one of the founding families. I´m constantly thankful for getting out of that environment (I know, it sounds a little weird) but it was very toxic and hid a lot of envy, evil and greed in the "celestial background". This may sound very anti-religious, but unfortunately the pain they caused in my family produced a strong rejection in me, apart from very small I never liked to attend. You might consider that I´ve lost faith and if it´s true, but not really. I would say it has changed perspective, has become something more natural, more free, outside of oppressive religious canons. I no long...

Blog 2 - Healthcare System

Imagen
Hi reader. In this post I will write about the public healthcare system of my country and specifically of my city: Chillán. Where to start!? Basically, in Chile, the healthcare system is irregular, many people die waiting your attention, another suffer in the crowded aisles of general hospital and some people worsens after your treatment.  This reality has been ignored for many years and the government has not bothered to put an end to this crisis a product of economic interests. In the end, the Chilean healthcare system it´s a business. Unfortunately, this reality worse in the regions because of centralism.  In Chillán the healthcare system is considered one of the worst systems in the country. Here, there are many records about medical malpractice, not only a long time ago, but in the last 3 years. Many people die from "common" operations such as appendicitis or from a poorly treated spider bite. I t´s a sad reality.  In addition, the social inequality that exists in th...

Politics

Imagen
Throughout my life, my perspective on politics has changed a little, but not much. I´ve always been close to a socialist and naturalistic current. This perspective has been influenced mainly by family and personal experiences. Since I was a child, I was interested in living as free as possible (although that is very difficult today). I liked to imagine myself in a world where money is not everything. When I grew up that was still there, and the desire was added not to live in a context of social and monetary inequality.       I wanted and want to be treated as a person, as a human being, by an animal belonging to nature, not by my status, not by my money, I just want to live happy and make happy those I love. I feel that the only way to achieve this is to fight (to the extent possible) against the unjust, against the oppressor and abuser, against greed and corruption, against the destruction of our planet, against genocide (reasons why I came to s...

Free topic related to the career. A reflection on any aspect of it.

The Anthropology as a Means to Understand the Human Integrally Through the anthropology, the evolution, the growth, the changes, etc., of the human being, they are studied in a broad and comprehensive way. Every time I have studied more about this discipline, it amazes me how broad it can be. I love knowing that through anthropology, the human being can come to be understood as matter, energy, a few simple bones, as a complex social concept or as another number in an extensive list of data. Likewise, anthropology acts as a multidisciplinary product of its various relationships with other disciplines. It is with sociology, archaeology, forensic medicine, with statistical studies, etc., that anthropology generates a great field of research. It is through this area of work that anthropology understands the human being in most of its branches. It is this aspect that I decided to highlight, since it is what strikes me most about the career I am studying. I feel that it is very...

A Photograph. Its Story

Imagen
In this photo my two puppies appear. The one on the left is called Nora and the one on the right is called Ely (I love them!). Ely has been my puppy for a long time, she is eleven years old and Nora only one. The story behind this photo is sad (on the one hand) and happy, as Nora came to fill a very big family void: the loss of our first dog. It was a very difficult event for my family since she was very important to our nucleus. Nora arrived on November 30 from the main square of Chillán (they were giving it away) when she was only a month old (she was very little!) And she quickly trusted us and my dog Ely, whom she considers her mother. It grew very fast (we thought it was going to be very big, but fortunately it was not), it went from a small body to a medium size. Nora is a puppy with a lot of energy, every day she makes us happy with her games and crazy things. Apart from delivering happiness to us, she gave a lot of energy to my puppy Ely (she was very depressed after th...
